Amanda Hilburn, Mixed Media Artist at The Little Bluebird Gallery 

Alabama based Amanda Hilburn is an artist who works primarily in acrylics, but also enjoys mixed media and watercolors inspired by the simple, stunning, artistry of nature, animals, flowers, water and more. Amanda’s colorful and whimsical creations are reflections of her view of the work of the greatest artist, God. 

She grew up with a crafty and creative mom and a nature loving dad whose love and encouragement still influence her to this day. While homeschooling her children, Amanda’s career started when she decided to create a painting for her living room and shared it online. To her surprise, orders came flowing in and in Amanda’s words, “I became an accidental artist and entrepreneur. Everything evolved from that one little painting and my tiny bit of blogging experience that I had gained because of homeschooling.”  

Today, Amanda sells online and has prints of her works sold in Kirkland stores, gift shops, and specialty boutiques. She also teaches art lessons and has a podcast where she gently encourages aspiring artists to be brave, confident, and original.
