Meet David Greenberg
David Greenberg , Dancer
A native of Savannah, Georgia, David began dancing at the age of three and studied ballet under Shannon Kelly, owner and director of Kelly & Co. Studios. After graduating from high school in 2011, David joined the Columbia Classical Ballet under the direction of Radenko Pavlovich. His ballet repertoire includes lead and corps roles in Don Quixote, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Nutcracker, Swan Lake, La Esmeralda, Giselle, La Bayadère, and Le Corsaire. David has also performed with Ballet Spartanburg, Charleston Ballet in West Virginia, Hilton Head Dance Theatre and many schools as a featured guest artist. At the young age of 20, David concluded his third season with CCB and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina with degrees in Marketing and Management and a minor in French. In 2015, David relocated to New York City to continue furthering his training and career as a professional dancer. Since moving, he has performed with the New York Theatre Ballet (as the Dancing Master in Donald Mahler’s Cinderella) and, in 2016, joined the American Repertory Ballet in NJ. With ARB, he performed lead roles in Douglas Martin’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Rite of Spring, Nutcracker, Pride and Prejudice and danced in Kirk Peterson’s Glazunov Variations (based on Raymonda) and Mary Barton’s Shades of Time. Most recently, David appeared on TV dancing on Fox’s hit show, So You Think You Can Dance, where he survived as the only remaining ballet dancer and made it to the Top 40 (Top 20 male) in The Academy.
